Must Love Ghosts by Charity Tahmaseb

Must Love Ghosts is the 5th book in the Coffee and Ghosts Series by Charity Tahmaeb. I found this series a few weeks ago and I loved it. Book 5 was the perfect ending to a great 5 book cozy short series. The mystery, the relationships between the characters and the ghosts was truly special and does leave one with that delightful cozy feeling. Great paranormal series and one with many more books for me to buy, read and review. I am thrilled to have found this series and to be able to share my reviews with you. The length of these cozy shorts are perfect for that pot of tea on a rainy afternoon, lunch break and in the car between kids activities. This is a series I highly recommend.
Coffee & Ghosts is a cozy paranormal mystery/romance serial told over five episodes. Must Love Ghosts is episode five.

Katy Lindstrom knows not all problems—supernatural or otherwise—can be solved with a good cup of coffee. But it never hurts.

When the Ghost B Gone web show arrives in town, prepared to live-stream a ghost eviction on Halloween, Katy and Malcolm are on hand—just in case.

But the quirky, seemingly harmless show and its crew are a cover for something darker, something with a vendetta against Katy, something that demands a sacrifice.

This time, Katy must uncover an ancient secret. This time, coffee alone won’t work. She will need to rely on unexpected and unpredictable allies.

This time, she will need to trust what’s in her heart.

Nascar and Me by Karen M. Owen

It is Sunday and today I wanted to share something I wrote and a bit about myself. When people I meet find out about my favorite sport they almost always shake their head and the most common thing I hear them say is, "I just can't see that about you." It makes me smile to surprise people in this way and try to explain my love of Nascar.  I hope you will indulge me in reading the poem I wrote today. I promise to share about a cozy mystery series with Nascar references before I end today's post.

Nascar and Me
It's about family, grit and determination,
aerodynamics, science, team work.
It is about history and the future.
It is about engineering, marketing and coming together.
It is speed, it is sound, it is smell, it is taste and it is fun.
Heartbreaking, heart pounding, love, tires squealing, and over the wall.
 For me it is delight.
Safety, it is about drivers, fans and crew.
All as one
This is my Nascar.

by Karen M. Owen
I did not grow up a Nascar fan but I came to love Nascar when my boys were young. For the last 12 years Nascar has given me so many opportunities, a better understanding and a love of cars. It has let me dream, included me and welcomed me. I have been to several tracks, driven 9 hot laps, in Daytona and Las Vegas. I have muscle memory of each turn and when I watch the races of the tracks I have been, I feel connected.I have spent countless hours watching and learning.  No other sport captivates me the way Nascar does. I have been to 7 races. Each twist, turn and lap for me holds magic. No other sport lets you have access to their athletes from the drivers to the pit crew. No other sport works collectively as a community harder for Autism Awareness and support as NASCAR. Nascar has helped me through my journey with autism and helped me in so many more ways.
Today I feel truly blessed to share that love with you and today with my family.
Today the sacrifice and the struggles give way to science and speed. To dreams and realities.
Carol J. Perry writes a wonderful paranormal series that is about a very strong woman who happens to be a NASCAR widow. This is a very endearing series and magical at that. To learn more about Carol J. Perry and her Witch City Mystery Series please click here.  Her newest book is out this August and I can not wait!

Thank you for joining me for a cup of tea and allowing me to share a bit about myself with you all today. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at

Happy St. Patrick's Day From My Table To Yours.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from my table to yours today. I thought I would share some of my favorite green tea cups and Irish based cozy mysteries with you today. The tea cup above is one my sister in law gave me after I found out about my heritage and I love this cup so much. With its delicate shamrocks and fluted edge this one is one of my most cherished in my collection. I actually use it quite often and not just at St. Patrick's Day.
Most recently I shared a non cozy but a great Irish book I ordered from The Book Depository. This has been a very cozy read, with recipes, lore and quotes that are calming and reassuring. A delight to have on my table. I am planing on ordering a few from this series and will share them with you as they arrive.  Click here if you would like to order this book with free shipping from The Book Depository.
I loved pairing my cup with Crowned and Dangerous by Rhys Bowen, this one was set in Ireland and a wonderful read.
Carlene O'Cononor has a few books I loved Murder at an Irish Wedding is the newest of them and a read you wont want to put down!
This is another frequently used and much loved green set, from a friends Mother's collection, she kindly trusted this one into my care after her mother's passing. I do think of her when I use it. It is a Royal Stafford set with a blooming pink rose.
Kathy Daley has a great read for St. Patrick's Day as well, Shamrock and Shenanigans was a fast and fantastic read.

Sheila Connolly has a wonderful Irish County Cork Mystery Series. I have read them all and anxiously await each of them. Buried in A Bog, jumped off the shelf at the library for me one day and it was one of my most favorite library discoveries. Libraries do sell book series, after reading this one I ordered the rest!
Thank you so much for joining me today for a cup of tea and a cozy mystery St. Patrick's day addition. May the road rise up to meet you and the wind be always at your back. From my table to yours this St. Patrick's Day.

Edited Out by E.J. Copperman

I was thrilled to be sent an ARC of E.J. Copperman's Edited Out. This is book 2 in the Mysterious Detective Mystery series and the first in the series I have read. It was captivating from the first page and a mystery I very much enjoyed. I love the idea of this series, the writer who creates a character, and a person who shows up with no memories prior to the creation of that character who claims to have the same name and occupation of the character. This mystery man may not be who he seems to be but it lends its self to a great mystery with in a mystery and I loved it. The way the story intertwines and twists is perfect. This is a very well written cozy and one that I very much enjoyed. This is a May release and one to put on your list!

Gone Ghost by Charity Tahmaseb

As you may know I am reading my way through the Coffee and Ghosts series by Charity Tahmaseb. I purchased the series after reading the first book which I found free on Amazon. These paranormal short cozies I have been truly enjoying and I have been reading and reviewing one a week. This is book 4. In Gone Ghost I found myself full of angst and worry. Charity did a wonderful job of making me as the reader feel like I was experiencing what Katy the main character was going through. I felt like I was assisting and participating in this one. I enjoy the length of these and the "ride" they take me on. Normally at the end of each book I put it down and wait to go on to the next one the following week but I could not stop myself  from reading into book five! You won't want to put it down. I am thrilled with my purchase of this series and I hope you will take a chance on it too. Everyone needs a great ghost story every now and again.
Tupperware. She’s an expert at catch and release as well. She’s never once returned a ghost to a client.

Until now.

After rival ghost hunters roll through town, exorcising haunted objects, and roll out again with some of those very objects, suspicion falls on Katy. Clients stop calling. The police chief thinks she’s guilty. And a dear friend’s Purple Heart—and its ghost—goes missing.

Katy and Malcolm devise a plan to retrieve the Purple Heart—and clear Katy’s name. A plan that defies the police chief’s orders, and one that includes a whirlwind tour of Malcolm’s alma mater and haunted frat house.

But the big city offers more than bright lights and adventure. Something has lured Katy here, something dark and sinister with an agenda of its own.

This time, Katy has stepped into a trap. This time, everything she thought she knew—about ghosts, Malcolm, and herself—will change forever.

Hospitality and Homicide by Lynn Cahoon

A big treat to have Hospitality and Homicide by Lynn Cahoon on my table this weekend. This is her much anticipated May release and I love this series. Based in South Cove, California in a seaside town this one is a favorite series of mine. The tourist Trap Mystery series centers around Jill and her Coffee and Book store. One of the things I love about this series is meeting all the shop owners and getting to know the business owners a little more in each book. Jill has her hands full and choices to make in this cozy for sure. With winds of change upon her, a visiting famous author and two mysteries on hand to distract her along with school, running her shop and so much more this one is a great busy cozy that feels and reads like real life. Loved it!

Gone With The Twins by Kylie Logan

I read Gone with the Twins by Kylie Logan last week and I was very impressed. Good Southern Twist, Romance & that Cozy Feeling.  This is book 5  in the Literary Ladies Mystery series. Gone with The Twins is out now and has a great Southern Theme. I found myself shaking my head at some of the book but also cheering in many more places. This is the second book in the series I have read and I loved it.

The League of Literary Ladies is currently enjoying Margaret Mitchell’s saga of the South, Gone with the Wind. But there’s one situation on South Bass Island that they wish would simply blow over.  Kidnapped as teenagers, the children of a famous movie star are now media darlings after a miraculous escape. What’s next for the celebrity twins? They’re opening an over-the-top B and B called Tara on South Bass Island, and frankly, they don’t give a damn about the competition—including Bea Cartwright’s own beloved inn.   The other members of the League—Chandra, Kate, and Luella—are turning scarlet. But when local realtor Vivian Frisk is found murdered, and the suspects include Chandra, who lost her beau to the frisky Vivian, the Ladies rally to her defense. They may have to skim a few chapters of the Civil War soap opera and focus on bringing justice to the island they call home...

This week has flown by and officially we are on Spring Break, however we do have hockey today. I have Hospitality and Homicide to finish today from Lynn Cahoon, this one is out in May and I am delighted to be almost done reading it so early!
Quite a lot of reading done this week actually this was the 44th book I have read and reviewed so far this year. I love the characters and relationships in this series.
Laura Childs Pekoe Most Poison matched beautifully with my napkin rings and spring tea cup. I love it when things work out. Great mystery too, no idea how she does it! Book 18 and it is out now.
Barbecue, Bourbon and Bullets by M.E. Harmon was a free cozy short I read this week. A good story, great mystery and a great deal, free at time of posting.
Another cozy short I read this week was the third book THe Ghost Wishperer by Charity Tahmaseb. Great paranormal cozy short. I can not wait to read the next one.
Oh Sid, such a treat to have a Sid mystery to read. I am thrilled there are going to be more of this series by Leigh Perry. There is just something so wonderful about this family skeleton that makes you want to read more!

The Silence of the Flans by Laura Bradford

Earlier this week I received a copy of  the second book in the Emergency Dessert Squad Mystery Series by Laura Bradford, called The Silence of the Flans. I really like main character Winnie and I especially love her neighbor Mr. Nelson. The dynamic of their relationship is what I enjoy most in this series. I found it difficult to figure out who the murder truly was and their motive in this book, I was truly surprised in the end when both were reveled. I was caught up in the side story of the relationships Winnie has with each character, even though I knew it was all centered around the murder, it was the relationships I took most from in this story. I am looking forward to reading book three for sure.

To order your copy of Silence of the Flans from Amazon, which is out now please click here.
